C3M Power Systems Consolidates Operations at Expanded Forestville Facility

Clark Construction Group subsidiary C3M Power Systems is expanding its footprint in Prince George’s County after securing more than 141,000 square feet at the Silverman Group’s Capital Interstate Logistics Center in Forestville.

The facility, which was previously used as a furniture showroom, is being redeveloped into a larger industrial and logistics property. Silverman Group purchased the site for $25 million earlier this year and is investing in an expansion that will add approximately 66,000 square feet. Once completed, the property is expected to total about 176,000 square feet.

C3M will occupy the majority of the existing building along with approximately half of the planned addition. As part of the project, Silver Line Development, Silverman Group’s construction arm, will build a 34,000-square-foot office area specifically designed for C3M within the existing structure.

The move represents a significant consolidation for C3M, which currently operates from two separate Maryland locations in Capitol Heights and North Englewood. Bringing those operations together will allow the company to house its workforce and operations at a single location.

C3M specializes in electrical infrastructure and systems supporting major transportation facilities, including railways, airports and highways. Company officials cited the property’s accessibility to the Capital Beltway, along with the ability to customize the facility to meet the company’s operational needs, as key factors in selecting the Forestville location.

The transaction adds another major industrial tenant to Prince George’s County and highlights the continued redevelopment of older commercial properties into modern facilities supporting logistics, infrastructure and other business operations.
