According to the latest compensation reports filed with the Maryland State Ethics Commission for the 2026 legislative session (covering Nov. 1, 2025–April 30, 2026), the 10 highest-paid registered lobbyists in Maryland are:

Rank Lobbyist Reported Earnings
#1 Lisa Harris Jones. $3,530,600
#2 Gerard Evans $2,499,666
#3 Timothy Perry $2,471,048
#4 Frank D. Boston III $1,786,800
#5 Michael V. Johansen $1,426,740
#6 Jonas Jacobson $965,332
#7 Bruce C. Bereano $941,873
#8 Delora Sanchez Ifekauche $933,155
#9 Gregory S. Proctor Jr. $924,700
#10 J. Steven Wise $901,939

The rankings reflect compensation reported to the Maryland State Ethics Commission during the 2026 General Assembly session. The list illustrates the continued influence of sectors such as utilities, healthcare, technology, transportation, hospitality, and energy in Annapolis. Utility companies—including Baltimore Gas & Electric, Pepco, and Washington Gas—appear repeatedly among the client lists, reflecting the legislature’s extensive debate this year over electricity rates and energy policy. Technology and AI-related companies such as Microsoft, Google, Waymo, and Accenture also maintained a strong lobbying presence as lawmakers considered issues involving data centers, artificial intelligence, and autonomous vehicles.
