Maryland Gov. Wes Moore has thrown his support behind Aisha Braveboy in the race for Prince George’s County executive, endorsing her ahead of the special election on March 4.
“As governor, I’ve had the privilege of working together with Aisha Braveboy and I’ve seen her leadership up close. She is going to be a fantastic partner in our shared mission of making Prince George’s County and Maryland safer, more affordable, and more competitive,” Moore said in his endorsement.
Braveboy, who currently serves as Prince George’s County state’s attorney, is known for her work on criminal justice reform, economic development, and community safety. Moore emphasized her qualifications and vision for the county’s future, stating, “I’m endorsing Aisha because of her public and private sector experience, her track record delivering results, and her forward-facing vision as the next county executive.”
With the special election just weeks away, Moore’s endorsement could bolster Braveboy’s campaign as she competes for the top leadership position in Prince George’s County.
