The PGC Council recently introduced 2 new bills:
Responsible Contractor Certification
For the purpose of amending provisions of the Prince George’s County Code related to the 3 solicitation and award of public construction contracts; providing for certification for public 4 contractors and subcontractors to public construction contracts; providing for assurance on the 5 use of properly trained construction personnel; providing Responsible Contractor eligibility 6 criteria and requiring the use of a Responsible Contractor in certain County construction projects 7 under certain circumstances.

Pilot Project Labor Agreement
For the purpose of establishing a pilot project labor agreement targeting Prince George’s County 3 Department of Public Works and Transportation CIP 4.66.0002 Curb and Road and 4 Rehabilitation 2 construction projects that create entry-level positions for residents that are both 5 necessary and desirable. The Prince George’s County Council may 30 expand the pilot project labor agreement to additional projects in the Prince George’s County’s Capital Improvement Program.
