David Happ, who oversaw the partially constructed Capitol Crossing project atop the Center Leg Freeway in Northwest D.C., has parted ways with developer Property Group Partners.
Happ, the commercial real estate firm’s president of development, left the company earlier this year, according to a source familiar with the situation. The timing and circumstances of his departure are unclear, but he is no longer listed on the company’s website, and there is no one with that title listed. Happ did not respond to multiple requests for comment, and representatives for PGP were not immediately available for comment. Happ had been with the company, previously called the Louis Dreyfus Property Group, since 1999.
It’s the second time in as many years that the development chief position at PGP has been quietly vacated. Happ was promoted from senior vice president of leasing and operations at PGP to president of development following the departure of Sean Cahill, who resigned from the firm in 2019.
