Maryland collected $26.2 million in cannabis sales tax revenue during the first three months of 2026, according to figures released Tuesday by the Maryland Office of the Comptroller.
The revenue was generated through the state’s 12% sales and use tax on adult-use cannabis and cannabis products.
The Central region generated the largest share of cannabis tax revenue, bringing in nearly $10.7 million between January and March. The Capital region followed with approximately $6.2 million, while Western Maryland generated about $4.7 million.
The Eastern region contributed just over $3 million, and Southern Maryland accounted for roughly $1.5 million.
