Wanda Durant, a Prince George’s County native who still lives in the area, is playing a visible role in a major redevelopment effort for the Six Flags site. Her son’s firm, 35V, has partnered with Atlanta-based TPA Group to acquire and redevelop the 515-acre site.
While details of the project remain limited, plans are expected to include a mixed-use development with an entertainment component. Rich Kleiman, Kevin Durant’s longtime agent and business partner at 35V, said in a statement that the goal is to “create positive economic opportunity for the region.”
According to 35V, Wanda Durant will serve as a community advocate throughout the process, helping ensure that local voices remain central as plans take shape.
“This land represents decades of memories for families across the region,” Wanda Durant said. “As we look ahead, it’s essential that what comes next honors that legacy by creating new opportunities for residents — especially young people — and strengthens the community for years to come.”
