Kevin A. Anderson, former Maryland Secretary of Commerce under Wes Moore is County Exec Aisha Braveboy’s pick to chair the Prince George’s County Planning Board, her office confirms the choice to #News4. He has an extensive background in real estate and economic development. The DC native and Stanford graduate lives in Prince George’s. I’m told he’s meeting with Prince George’s council members this week. If approved by the council, he’ll be replacing former state delegate Darryl Barnes who stepped down amid an internal investigation into his leadership. Barnes told News4 he denies any allegations of wrongdoing. The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, which includes PG Park and Planning is suing the Prince George’s Council for transferring millions of the commission’s dollars to its budget.
