D.C. development company DSC Partners LLC has acquired a 17-building complex in Lanham for $86 million, adding some 785,000 square feet of industrial, flex and office space to its growing portfolio across Greater Washington.
DSC and its investment partner, Harbert Management Corp. of Birmingham, Alabama, acquired the sprawling complex known as the Forbes Center from Rockville’s BECO Management, a DSC spokesperson said Monday. The deal closed May 30.
The business park, which was constructed between 1983 and 1989, sits at the intersection of Forbes Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and houses a broad range of tenants, including distribution firms, medical providers and government contractors. In acquiring it, the 7-year-old DSC now controls 43 properties across Greater Washington totaling roughly 2.4 million square feet.
“Forbes Center is an ideally suited addition to the portfolio DSC has built across the DMV — and particularly in Maryland,” DSC partner and co-founder Doug Donatelli said in a statement.
