The Washington Commanders appear to have found their FedEx Field sportsbook partner in Fanatics Inc., a recent recipient of a Maryland retail sports betting license.
Landover’s FedEx Field is the only major professional sports venue in Greater Washington that has yet to formally announce a sportsbook and partner. But recent work orders that explicitly mention “Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field” have appeared on multiple contractor lists, suggesting construction is underway or imminent. A buildout permit for a retail store at FedEx Field is in the process of being issued, according to Prince George’s County records, but it does not identify the retailer or use.
Officials with Jacksonville, Florida-based Fanatics declined to comment. The Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission on June 23 awarded FBG Enterprises Opco LLC, doing business as Fanatics, a sports wagering facility operator license, though a specific location of that sportsbook has not been publicly announced.
The Commanders also declined to comment.
