An upscale co-working space is coming to Greater Washington. New York-based Serendipity Labs Inc. has signed a lease with D.C.-based Carr Properties for 19,000 square feet of office and retail space in downtown Bethesda.
The 4500 East West Highway location will be the co-working provider’s eighth lab, scheduled to open in June. It already has locations in Chicago, Connecticut, New York, northern New Jersey and Florida, with sites in both cities and suburbs.
Startups make up 20 percent of Serendipity’s member pool, while 45 percent are employees of established companies and 35 percent are independent workers, according to the company.
