Under Armour Inc., one of Greater Baltimore’s youngest public companies, is now the largest.
The Baltimore-based sportswear maker reported $4.8 billion in revenue in 2016, short of its outlook of $5 billion, but still surpassed McCormick & Co. Inc., T. Rowe Price Group Inc. and Colfax Corp.
Under Armour officially took over the spot after Legg Mason Inc. reported its year-end results last week. The money manager was the last of Greater Baltimore’s 10 largest public companies to report its full-year revenue, with $2.9 billion.
Under Armour’s revenue grew 22 percent from $3.96 billion in 2015. This year it projects boosting sales by 11 percent to 12 percent to $5.4 billion.
