Towson University is set to break ground this summer on a six-story, $175 million academic building that will serve as a new home for the school’s College of Health Professions.
The new College of Health Professions (CHP) building will be situated in the heart of the university’s campus, and will serve as a new home to the school’s health-related academic programs, including audiology, nursing, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy and health sciences.
Lawmakers in the Maryland General Assembly have allocated $50 million in fiscal year 2022 to support construction beginning in July, and more funding for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 has been pre-approved. Additional, the University System of Maryland has allocated $4.1 million to bolster clinical and instructional programs at the CHP.
