On June 12, a brand new $500 million hospital will spring to life in Prince George’s County, after years of on-again, off-again planning and budget battles.
The Capital Region Medical Center isn’t just a new building. It incorporates every new philosophy of healthcare into its design, says Medical Director Dr. Joseph Wright.
He says efficiency is a key concept, starting from the moment a patient walks into the emergency room.
“We are really trying to not have patients languish in the waiting room and quickly get them into treatment,” says Dr. Wright.
