The developer behind National Harbor has entered Harford County in suburban Baltimore with the purchase of a 500,400-square-foot industrial warehouse for $51.3 million.
Peterson Cos. acquired the Aberdeen Logistics Center on Dec. 14. The complex is located just off Route 40 in the busy Harford County industrial market and is fully leased to Fanatics as the sports merchandising company’s sole mid-Atlantic fulfillment center and first to feature state-of-the-art robotics. Fanatics expected to employ 135 people at the facility when its lease was unveiled in 2022.
The seller was Northwestern Mutual Life, according to state records.
Peterson officials said Wednesday the deal was the Fairfax-based firm’s first in Harford County. Peterson also owns industrial complexes in Frederick and Richmond.
