MGM National Harbor is opening an outdoor gaming terrace, bringing slot machines into the open air at the Prince George’s County casino.
The Washington Business Journal was the first to report in December that the casino and resort in National Harbor was pursuing outdoor gaming.
Now, we know what it entails: 41 slot machines, including popular games like “Dancing Drums,” “Buffalos” and “88 Fortunes,” and cocktail service. The terrace, dubbed “Casino Al Fresco,” also offers views of Northern Virginia and gives visitors the opportunity to smoke while playing. The venue officially opens Wednesday.
Alex Alvarado, MGM National Harbor’s vice president of casino operations, said in a statement the terrace is “one of the country’s most unique gaming settings.”
