Maryland wants the private sector to find a quick solution to heavy traffic on I-270 — but officials aren’t going to break the bank for it.
The state, behind the leadership of Transportation Secretary Pete Rahn, is asking the private sector for solutions to fight traffic on the roadway, but it has set some pretty high burdens on any potential ideas.
Any proposal sent to the state of Maryland must cost less than $100 million and be able to be implemented in two to three years.
