Lockheed Martin Corp. plans to close its manufacturing plant in Middle River, Maryland, impacting 465 employees in Baltimore County.
The Bethesda defense giant will “consolidate” operations in its rotary and missions systems business to “better align employees, technology and facilities to meet customer needs,” a spokeswoman said in a statement.
The company will offer employees who work at the plant a chance to relocate or telework, according to WBAL-TV, which first reported the move.
