The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at National Harbor in Prince George’s County will reopen its Old Hickory Steakhouse next month after a renovation that followed a $64 million guest-room overhaul at Greater Washington’s largest hotel.
When the 10,000-square-foot restaurant reopens May 10, it will be divided into four areas: the wraparound Old Hickory Bar; The Den, which will feature a fireplace and large-screen TVs; a contemporary Main Dining Room with gold ceiling and custom seating; and the Terrace Room, “a room for all occasions” with three walls of windows overlooking National Harbor.
The restaurant will add weekend brunch service when it reopens next month in addition to its breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and bar offerings. It will continue to offer its premium steak choices and will debut two new tableside-prepared items: a Maryland jumbo-lump crab cocktail and an old fashioned cocktail.
Gaylord said it is spending $14 million to transform the restaurants at the property, which also includes its Harbor Social sports bar, Pose Rooftop Lounge and Belvedere Lobby Bar.
