The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor still does not have an estimated reopening date even as its counterparts across the country are already welcoming back guests.
Colin Reed, chief executive of Ryman Hospitality Properties (NYSE: RHP), which owns the Gaylord hotels, said during a Tuesday earnings call that the company will continue to “monitor” the market amid the Covid-19 pandemic and reopen when warranted
During Ryman’s first quarter earnings report in May, Reed said he expected the property to reopen in July. Other Gaylord properties owned by the Nashville real estate investment trust, located in Texas, Florida, Colorado and Tennessee, reopened in June.
