The average price for regular unleaded gasoline in Maryland on Saturday reached $5 per gallon.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Maryland on Saturday was $5.01. That is over $2 more than this time last year.
A number of gas stations across Maryland reached the $5 threshold for a gallon of gas earlier in the week.
Prices at the pump in Maryland were at its highest in Baltimore City as well as Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties.
