The cost of inflation, supply chain issues, and prices at the pump have impacted families from coast to coast.
Now, some D.C. residents who pay some of the highest rental costs in the country, might see their rent go up, too, as the District lifted its rent increase moratorium Saturday.
“People are still having a hard time,” said Peter Wood, a D.C. ANC Commissioner representing Adams Morgan.
Wood says lifting the moratorium comes at a troubling time for many low and middle-income earners.
