Events D.C., the city’s conventions and sports authority, is looking for development partners for two planned projects at RFK Memorial Stadium in Southeast D.C.
The entity, which runs the stadium campus, the Washington Convention Center and others around the city, is drafting requests for proposals from developers for a proposed market hall and a sports and recreation complex, Events D.C. Board Chair Max Brown said at the board meeting Oct. 12.
The goal is to have those RFPs ready for release in November, and to make selections of development partners by January.
Both the market hall and the sports and recreation complex are mid-term projects contemplated as part of a larger redevelopment plan for the RFK campus.
