D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced new efforts Wednesday to help Black Washingtonians prepare for homeownership, including an upcoming Black homeownership workshop and resource fair.
The workshop fair is set for Saturday at 10 a.m. at the at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. The efforts will focus on connecting residents to the programs that exist in the District, Bowser’s office said.
During the event, Bowser also awarded certificates to recent attendees of the Home Purchase Assistance Program pre-purchase orientation.
