ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 29, 2019) – Alexander & Cleaver Professional Association (A&C), one of the leading lobbying firms in the region known for its long-term success on behalf of a roster of loyal clients, announced today that it has appointed government relations executive Davion E. Percy as the firm’s Vice President of Government Relations. Entering his fourth year with A & C, Percy has demonstrated exemplary leadership, successfully provided strategic advocacy on behalf of its clients while leading the government relations team through the 2019 legislative session. In his new role, Percy will oversee client strategy for local and state government relations, implement the firm’s government relations expansion plan, and strengthen the firm’s presence in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Region.

Under Davion Percy’s leadership, A&C’s government relations team secured over $44.5 million in capital and operating funding for its clients to improve during the 2019 legislative session, aimed at improving quality of life for Marylanders living in poverty, healthcare for children, public safety infrastructure throughout state, and educational and vocational services for teenagers with developmental disabilities. The team also successfully advocated on legislative matters related to transportation laws and retirement benefits for public safety employees, education policy, and public health. In addition to success during the legislative session, Percy shepherded A&C’s expansion into Baltimore City, opening an office on East Pratt street in June.

Prior to joining A&C in 2017, Davion Percy served in Prince George’s County Government for ten years – five years in the executive branch and five years in the office of Council Member Karen R. Toles (D-Suitland). As Chief of Staff, he advised Council Member Toles on all policy matters, including zoning and public safety policy. He also served as her staff liaison to the Health, Education, and Human Services Committee, which she chaired.
