Skims, Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand that was recently named the official underwear of the NBA, has filed plans to open a two-story location in the heart of Georgetown.
A filing this week with D.C.’s Historic Preservation Review Board shows Skims taking 3,501 square feet at EastBanc Inc.’s 3300 M St. NW. It would be a replacement for Intermix, another fashion retailer, which shuttered earlier this year.
The plans show Skims taking 2,904 square feet on the ground floor and 597 square feet on the second floor — of the total, 2,033 square feet would be consumed by the sales area and the rest for back-of-house use. EastBanc is listed as the landlord, New York’s Kenneth Park as the architect and Carrie Kawamua of Los Angeles-based Perron-Roettinger as the designer.
