Forbes recently released its ranking of the 400 wealthiest people in the U.S., and seven Marylanders landed on the list.
Forbes said the nation’s 400 richest people are worth $4 trillion—$500 billion less than last year. The minimum net worth to make The Forbes 400 dropped for the first since the Great Recession, according to the article, down $200 million to $2.7 billion amid the market selloff.
So, who was hit the hardest? Forbes named tech billionaires, who’ve lost a combined $315 billion.
In order, according to net worth:
No. 143: Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and Washington Nationals owner Ted Lerner are tied at #143 on the list.
No. 158: Michell Rales, of the Danaher industrial firm, has a net worth of $5.8 billion and is number 158 on the list, according to Forbes. He and his brother head up the Danaher industrial firm.
No. 211: Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Commanders, comes in at number 211 with a net worth of $4.9 billion.
