A new $300M mixed-use project is moving forward as part of the Discovery District in College Park.
Terrapin Development Co., in partnership with the University of Maryland, announced Monday it selected Brandywine Realty Trust as the master developer for the Discovery District’s next phase.
Brandywine is planning to build a 5-acre development with 550K SF of office space, up to 250 multifamily units and retail. The project, designed by Baltimore-based architecture firm Ayers Saint Gross and Michael Vergason Landscape Architects, is expected to cost at least $300M.
The project is planned at the prominent intersection of Baltimore Avenue and Campus Drive, next to the Hotel at UMD and across from the campus’s main entrance.
