Home sales in the Baltimore metro area set more records in November, continuing a trend that has persisted for the last few months despite an economic slowdown, a new report shows,
The region recorded a median sales price of $322,000 last month, a 10-year high for November and a 17% year-over-year increase. It was also the second highest monthly level on record and the fourth consecutive month of double-digit percentage gains in prices, according to the report, which was compiled using data provided by MarketStats by ShowingTime based on listing activity from Bright MLS.
The data also showed the average listing time on the market dropped to just eight days last month, reflecting a spike in new pending sales.
The strong market was expected to continue in December and the report noted that 2020 is on track to finish with a median sales price above $300,000 for the first time on record.
