After 49 years at its current location in downtown Baltimore, T. Rowe Price Group Inc. will move its global headquarters to the burgeoning new waterfront development at Harbor Point in 2024.
The money manager announced Tuesday that it has signed a letter of intent to relocate its downtown Baltimore operations to two modern, green buildings at Harbor Point that will be constructed to the firm’s specifications.
T. Rowe Price’s new 15-year lease in Harbor Point will cover approximately 450,000 square feet, including a client conference center and an auditorium. T. Rowe Price, which manages $1.3 trillion in assets, currently occupies about 450,000 square feet at 100 E. Pratt, where the company has had its headquarters since 1975. About 1,700 employees work out of the current space.
“T. Rowe Price is excited to make this commitment — it’s an investment in our people, in our clients, and in our community and continues our deep and long-standing connection to the city of Baltimore,” CEO William J. Stromberg said in a statement. “In Harbor Point, we will have a vibrant campus-like atmosphere, with top-notch amenities and modern spaces designed to support the collaborative way we work with each other and with our clients.”
