Maryland Live Casino and Hotel is looking to hire 500 new employees to fill jobs at its soon-to-be-opened 17-story hotel and event center.
The Cordish Cos., which runs the casino and hotel, are looking for administrative, front desk, entertainment, food and beverage, retail, security positions and more. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
To ramp up hiring efforts, the casino has opened a job center inside the Arundel Mills Mall, where recruiters will offer resume services and on-site interviews. The job center will be open on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Additionally, there will be job fairs held at the career center on 15 different dates between Feb. 2 and April 19.
The Live Casino hotel is slated to open this summer.
The hotel – which will also contain a spa and a restaurant from celebrity chef Todd English and will connect to a conference center with space to host live music performances and conventions – allows the casino to reward high-rolling customers. David Cordish, the CEO of Cordish Cos., has said he considers the hotel a “gamechanger,” especially as Maryland Live faces increased competition from the well-performing MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County.
