Developers, architects, city officials and residents have been imagining how a major mixed-use development could change the appearance of D.C.’s Southwest Waterfront. But now, with The Wharf’s grand opening one day away, it is time to throw out the renderings and take a look at how the new buildings and public spaces have come to life. Bisnow took a tour of the The Wharf on Tuesday, by land and by sea, as workers completed the finishing touches of the megaproject, opening to the public Thursday.
