Construction has begun on Allure Apollo, a 384-unit apartment building at 4401 Telfair Blvd. in Camp Springs, Md., part of the ongoing Apollo development.
The new apartment is expected to be complete in summer or fall 2018. Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC provided $16 million to finance the apartment building, a joint venture between Peter N.G. Schwartz and Hensel Phelps Construction Co.
The three-phase Camp Springs master plan, which started with an earlier apartment development, will also include a retail center within walking distance of the apartments. The center, anticipated to be complete in late 2020, will include shops and restaurants. Offices are also part of the development.
The six-story building, adjacent to the Branch Avenue Metro station, will include 18 studio apartments, 176 one-bedroom units and 190 two-bedroom units. The apartments will include stainless-steel appliances, granite kitchen counters and full-size washers and dryers.
