Boston Properties plans to shed part of its Virginia 95 Business Park near a proposed FBI headquarters campus in Springfield, one of three potential headquarters sites, in an offering that could draw significantly more interest depending on whether the agency finally lands.
The publicly traded real estate investment trust has retained Cushman & Wakefield to seek buyers for seven buildings in the business park, combining for a little more than 504,100 square feet. The buildings are 91 percent leased to a range of federal agencies, including the State and Homeland Security departments.
The park is also fewer than 5 miles from the General Services Administration’s Loisdale Road warehouse in Springfield where the FBI would go if it lands in Fairfax County. But the FBI search includes alternate locations in Greenbelt and Landover in suburban Maryland as well.
