The Washington Commanders released the first renderings Wednesday of the seating bowl planned for the team’s new stadium, a design the organization says is intended to echo the atmosphere of RFK Stadium while using modern technology and acoustics.
The bowl would run continuously from the field all the way up to the upper deck, according to the Commanders and HKS. The team says there would be no stacked premium levels and fewer overhangs, helping fans keep a clear view of the field while keeping more crowd noise inside the stadium.
The plan also includes more seats in the lower bowl, steeper sections throughout the stadium and a first row raised above the field so fans have a better look over the sideline.
