Howard County Executive Calvin Ball announced the launch of Savage Mill Bucks, a summer incentive program that will promote shopping locally and supporting small businesses in Howard County’s Savage Mill.

During a news conference Monday afternoon, Ball announced that the program will offer $10 business vouchers to residents and visitors to shop at more than 70 small businesses at Savage Mill, a historic retail destination and business complex, between June 1 and Aug. 31.

Howard County is investing $10,000 in the program that will support roughly 1,000 small businessvouchers that can be spent at small businesses and shops throughout Savage Mill, according to a release from the county executive’s office.
